Nov. 25, 2008 - Pastor Jerry will be teaching two new series during the month of December. "Songs of Advent" explore the songs of Mary, Zachariah and the Angels, as recorded in the Gospels, during the time of Christ's birth. These lessons will be presented on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm in Room #103. On Sunday mornings at both the 9 and 11 services, we'll explore "The Purpose of Christmas" as identified in Rick Warren's new book. Join us as we discover that Christmas is all about celebration, salvation and reconciliation!
Thurs. Nov 13, 2008 - Praise the Lord! Five days after Braden was born, he has been released from the hospital. What a testimony to God's hand upon this little boy. Pastor Darth, Jenni, the girls and Braden will be returning to Wenatchee in the next couple of days. Braden still faces major heart surgery on Dec. 9th so please continue to pray for him. God is so good and Pastor Darth and Jenni really appreciate the love, prayers and support you have shown them during this time.
Weds. PM - More good news from the Creeks. Braden's surgery has been set for Dec. 9th. The doctors see no reason to rush and feel that the additional time will be of benefit for the effectiveness of the surgery. He is doing very well! He might even be released from the hospital in the next couple days with the possibility that Darth and Jenni could return to Wenatchee until the surgery. Please keep praying. The Lord is doing some amazing things as we stand in faith with this family.
Weds. Nov. 12, 2008 - Braden is still scheduled to be moved onto the regular floor despite a little setback with a fever and a needed IV in his head to administer anti-biotics. The Creeks have also updated their blog page with pictures and their personal thoughts so be sure to check it out.
Mon. Nov. 10, 2008 - Pastor Darth called with some great news this morning. Braden has been transfered to Children's Hospital and is doing better than anticipated. Praise the Lord! Surgery will still be needed, probably within a week, but is not critical. In fact, Braden is doing well enough that Jenni is able to hold and feed him and there's a possibility he will be moved from N-ICU onto the floor in the next day or two prior to surgery. Thanks for your prayers!
Sat. PM - Braden Robert Creek arrived at 6:38 PM tonight. He weighed 7 lbs 2 oz. and is in N-ICU at the U of W Hospital. Jenni is doing well. All glory to God!
Sat. Nov 8, 2008 - 9:15 AM - Jenni just called to let us know her water broke and she is on her way to the hospital. Braden is on his way!
Weds. Nov 5, 2008 Pastor Darth, Jenni and the girls have temporarily relocated to Seattle for the birth of their son Braden who has two congenital heart defects. They are monitoring Jenni at the University of Washington Hospital and will induce labor and determine the best time for a smooth and safe delivery. He will then be stabilized and transfered to Children's Hospital for surgery. Please keep them in your prayers. Notes of encouragment can be sent to their Wenatchee address and will be forwarded. At this time, it is best for them not to have visitors, but you can e-mail them at: dandjcreek@verizon.net Also, they are maintaining a web-page at: bradencreek.blogspot.com For your convenience there is a link on our home page, bottom of right hand column, entilted "Creek Baby Blog."
Sept. 19, 2008 The renovations of the classroom and nursery hallways are almost complete. The walls have been retextured and painted to match the foyer. The carpet is currently being laid and the new signage has been installed. It certainly makes for a warmer more professional feeling and now compliments the new portion of our building.
June 20, 2008 Pastor Jerry will begin a new 4 week series the first week of July called "Overdrive." This teaching will offer principles from Scripture on how to live up to your potential. It's about how to obtain, gain and maintain momentum, how to spend your days moving forward at maximum velocity, even while experiencing God's peace and enjoying scenery along the way.
May 19, 2008 Summer Nights 08 will provide two Sunday evening events each month throughout the summer. April 18, 2008 This coming Sunday, we will announce the addition of Gilberto Gonzalez to our pastoral staff. Pastor Gilberto will specialize in Hispanic Ministries but will be also coordinate new outreach efforts and be available to serve our entire congregation. Since our vision at WFA is for a blended church we will not be starting a separate Hispanic Church but rather offering several new Spanish language classes and events to better serve this segment of our congregation.
April 4, 2008 Pastor Janice & Dennis Hendricks lost their home to a fire this afternoon in East Wenatchee. It started about 1:30 and was put out within an hour. Some items are completely destroyed, some heavily smoke damaged and the things that were down stairs will be usable. They are staying with a daughter and looking for a place to rent. They were fully insured and need most of all our prayers and encouragement. If you are interested in assisting them during this difficult time, Sandy Girt is coordinating efforts from our church body. Praise God that everyone got out of the house safely! We serve a strong God and He is definitely helping this family during this traumatic time.

Feb. 24, 2008 The annual business meeting of Wenatchee First Assembly was held tonight. Joel Romero and Bruce Voie were elected to the Deacon Board. A resolution to amend the by-laws to change the method of selecting deacons failed to receive the necessary 2/3rds vote needed. Dr. Joe Tensmeyer from St. Paul's Lutheran School addressed the members to thank us for partnering with them to provide Christian education for the Wenatchee Valley. A video produced by Dennis Hendricks showing pictures from various church events was also shown.
Dec. 21, 2007 If you are interested in learning and excercising spiritual gifts, or if you desire concentrated personal ministry, then you are invited to join Paul Hughes, one of our deacons/elders, the second Sunday night of each month at 6:00pm in Room #103. This will be a time of worship, instruction, and prayer without the time restrictions of our Sunday morning gatherings.
Dec. 17, 2007 Pastor Beebe will begin two new series of teachings designed to help you in your daily walk with Christ during this coming new year of 2008. A six-part series entitled, "Entering the Promised Land" based on the book of Joshua will be presented on Sunday mornings. An in depth look at the life of Nehemiah will start on Wednesday nights in January focusing on the necessity of combining both faith and action.
Nov. 30, 2007 The Reddick Family, faithful members of WFA, had their house burn down early this morning. All the family escaped but they lost absolutely everything. They are insured but need prayers and encouragment through this traumatic time. Any financial gift you would like to give should be clearly marked on an offering envelope and will be given directly to them. Most of all, however, they simply need our prayers and support.
Nov. 26, 2007 Beginning in 2008, we are asking our prayer intercessors to pray during our morning services. If you would like to be a part, please contact Rae Ann Patikas or Pastor Jerry. Also, coming in 2008; a special Pentecost emphasis with Evangelist Ernie Salines; a Financial Planning workshop in early June; and Sister Sylvia Evans from Elim will minister in the fall!
